Another busy week means another Friday update: hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and Rich D. hope you and family are doing OK. See you in the morning.
ROCKY BROOK OILERS (5-6) 67
DANGEROUS MINDS (6-5) 64
I couldn't dig out of the Thursday hole where my kicker gets a friggin zero...thanks Thigpen. Essentially one play turned this game around. The Cowboys had the ball on the Lion 1 yard line. Barber my spot starter is poised to smash through the middle, ( like the bum did yesterday while on my bench ) and Kitna faked and tossed it uip the lanky Antonio Bryant who corralled it for the 6 point swing. Tom's win was huge as he's nipping at my heels for the forth playoff spot right now. Unfortuntely for the Oilers the steamroller known as the Steroids await next week.
GEORGIA SATELITES (8-3) 89
NORTHERN SPIES (3-8) 73
John is getting tired of saying his team is getting lucky and winning ugly( sort of like Rex Ryan )..so he puts up a more than respectable 89 points against the luckless Spies who more than held their own with 73. Sanchez and Fred Jackson, not necessarily fantasy household names are making Rich very tough these days. If I'm going to nitpick with the Sats I can say that half his points came from 2 guys, Brees and Jennings...but John can come back and say, "well, I'm in the playoffs and kicked your ass Week 6." Sadly for me...all true.
NORTHBORO STEROIDS (8-3) 102
MIDWESTERN MARAUDERS (3-8) 56
In a game in which the QB's dominated play, 25 from Pig Ben..( I'd love to know what he said to Seymour )..and 20 from Rivers, Bob had more depth as 6 Stroids hit double figures and the other two guys had 9. To say Bob is white hot is a gross understatement. Rough day for Hugh's WR's..only 9 points. Green-Ellis has established as a solid choice at RB and should feast against the Lions..( which he did ).
PHITIN' CAMELS (4-7) 66
GARVEY'S GANGSTERS (7-4) 57
Tony keeps his playoff hopes alive with a quality win over the slumping Gangsters. Steve Johnson has been a tremendous aquisition and unfortunately looks like he's a member of the Dick Head Wide Receiver Club as by his showing off his new tee shirt line aftyer scoring one of his 3 TD's. 66 points is impressive especially with AP only offering just 3 in the Vikings debacle versus the Pack. For Garv, 4 guys scored 4 or less, and Bradshaw's fumbles may mean fewer carries.
GAME OF THE WEEK
GARVEY VS GEORGIA A win for John probably assures him of a home playoff game, while for the Gangsters a loss makes him 7-5 and looking over some shoulders. On a personal note: It's hard to believe I'm actually rooting for John this week....go Hines Ward!!!
